Just four days after my previous post and a month following my post on 2023’s biotech layoffs, I found myself affected by them, an outcome I hadn’t foreseen despite understanding the reasons behind it. Over the last two months, my focus had shifted almost entirely to job seeking, leading me to deprioritize my blog updates—a decision I now recognize as misguided. I’ve realized that continuous self-education should not be sidelined, regardless of circumstances, as its benefits accrue with persistent effort. Despite still being in search of employment, I’m reigniting my passion for blogging and learning anew. This challenging winter will pass, and I am gearing up for a stronger start to the new year.
